Damian Aquiles
"I like to work with used materials, for the concentrated energy that emanates from them, they have a lot of light. I don't work with trash, but with last life. Those materials have a previous history. My art pieces concentrate on that energy. I continue it's life by recycling it, by using it's previous life, energy, and history to tell my own story." - Damian Aquiles

C.T. Whitehouse
"C.T. Whitehouse creates simple vessel forms, allowing the natural qualities of bronze to shine through. He prefers the energy of casting bronze, poured at a temperature of 2,000 degrees, the orange glow of molten metal cooling and hardening, occasionally capturing interesting imperfections. The raw form is then chased, or prepared for finishing using grinding tools and by sanding the surface by hand. The patina of each piece is created by heating and chemically oxidizing the bronze, giving each piece its unique look. Finally, the edges of the forms are highly polished until they hold a halo of light. The artist's signature marks his pleasure in completing this art." - The Artful Home

Marjorie Simon
"Form, color, texture, and function are my main concerns, but I also bring a strong conceptual or intellectual orientation to my work. Design elements often have a frankly anthropomorphic relationship, underscoring jewelry's primary referent to the body. Botanical and floral images have been part of jewelry and adornment from antiquity. Using vitreous enamel adds color and alchemy of glass on metal." - Marjorie Simon

Elizabeth Holmes
"Elizabeth Holmes is inspired by the spiritual qualities found in the land and seascapes around her. In her photographs, she uses these images as metaphors for those experiences that connect us to our inner lives and define who we are. She explores the vanishing rural landscapes of America, as well as wistful beach scenes imprinted on childhood memories.
Photographing with infrared film and then hand coloring on matte surface prints with oils and pencils, Holmes creates images that appear both dreamy and timeless. The hand-coloring process makes each photograph one-of-kind." - The Artful Home

Kathleen Holmes
"Kathleen Holmes’ dress-shaped sculptures suggest cultural aspects and particular time periods, as well as the universal experiences of womanhood. In addition to being charming, they are also thought provoking and draw you into a specific world, each sculpture telling its own story. Kathleen’s glass pieces are cast from her ceramic and mixed media sculpture. Some works incorporate crocheted fabric which leaves a detailed impression in the mold; the texture is then picked up by the glass and the color is added afterwards." - Pismo Gallery

Casey Curran
"Casey Curran is a Seattle artist who’s ability to fuse thick old books and miles of wire is beyond crafty. Not only does he have the skills to rework wire into an etymologically perfect insect, many of his works feature a hand crank and moving parts on the background of several seamlessly connected, once loved books." - Rivet Magazine

Amy Longcope
"Painter Amy Longcope uses mediums and gels to build layers and textures of color. For Longcope, process is integral to result with each painting a mystical journey guided by an artistic alchemy of curiosity, intuition, discipline, and spontaneity. While she paints, countless ideas guide her and the artist trusts intuition to lead the way. The end result is a vibrant abstract image, dripping with color and emotion." - The Artful Home

Brooke Marks-Swanson
"Daily observances of my surroundings influence my work. I create objects related to the fundamentals of form, volume, texture, color and process. The subtleties of midwestern landscapes provide information and inspiration. Aerial views of landscapes provide colors, textures, and compositions amazingly remarkable. I am interested in the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. Conditions make impressions and patinas on objects; the imperfect, variegated textures and forms resulting influence my work. I aspire to portray my interest of mark making through aerial images and environmental observances, resulting in pieces that provide information of the past while speaking of the present." - Brooke Marks-Swanson

Sonya Mackintosh
"Inspired by the textures, colors, and patterns found in nature, my scarves are delightfully nubby and uniquely three-dimensional in a mixture of fabrics and tones. Each allows the wearer to express her individuality in style and comfort." - Sonya Mackintosh

Lulu Smith
"Lulu Smith's jewelry is strongly focused on design and line, in part due to the imaginative line drawings of her young daughter. Smith is interested in how symbols and patterns, when paired with color, can create whole new ideas -- depending on their mix." - The Artful Home
