"I have always incorporated color in my jewelry but it was often someone else's lampwork bead or cut stone. I now wanted to create every element in my pieces and to celebrate my new connection with color. I explored color through an enameling class and, once it was over, packed away all my enamel work for a year and a half. I returned to the work I had been doing for the past nine years and while I etched fabric-like textures on metals and constructed three-dimensional box pendants and pins, something must have been percolating. One day I bought a kiln, some tools and enamels, and started creating my new garden of jewels." - Steff Korsage Brown
