Mary Opasik

The Impetus for my current body of townscape assemblages began while traveling in Brittany, France during my month-long residency. I have always loved architecture and was struck by the powerful medieval castles and chateaus. Using discarded paint boxes left from previous artists, I began to create my visions of the "Petite Towns of Character." Using found objects I have continued the series in my studio and have expanded the townscapes to include cities throughout the world." - Mary Opasik
