"Formally, my work is inspired and influenced by the assemblages of Rauschenberg, the palette of Van Gogh, Rothko's metaphysics and the airy compositions made popular by the impressionists. I exploit the two-dimensionality of the painted plane as a structure of opportunity for depth by layering texture, color and finishes.
