"My collection ‘Fruitful Fungi’ is inspired by natural occurrences within nature that would otherwise go unnoticed. It is fascinating to look at how fruit decomposes and for me it is just as beautiful as growth. I combine materials together in an organic manner, using non – traditional enamelling methods to show the colours produced from mould. Precious metals are used alongside dried kiwi skins, and nylon filament represents ‘mould spores’ growing from the jewellery." - Alena Joy
