These mixed media pieces are by artist Fran Skiles. She uses materials such cotton duck, silk, cotton paper, Japanese paper, transfer paper, thread, acrylics, oils, ink, crayon, gloss medium, and gesso. These materials along with the techniques of monoprinting, staining, painting, heat-set transfering, acrylic transfering, ink-jet fabric printing, and hand and machine stitching are used to create her unique works.
