Hi Mara . . I didn't mean to suggest, from my last comment, that you were IN ANY WAY disrepectful to posting artists. I would have sent you an email, but don't see a way of doing that on your three sites. Just wanted to ask about the permission thing. I know that some artists say "of course". It's wonderful advertising. And there are others who are VERY fussy. I got burnt once, so I was only checking. I follow your tumblr blog (I'm neutralnotes/colornotes). I enjoy following here and on tumblr!
Thanks Jann! I took your last comment as a question, so no worries. What happened with you? Is there something that I should be aware of that I am not. The artists have been very positive so far, but I know there are those out there that do not want anyone posting their work. I love both of your Tumblrs and your blog as well. You are very talented!
You're very kind, Mara. Yes . . I had quite an experience (lots of emails) with an artist who found I had posted on Tumblr from her website (even though she was credited and with a link to her website . . she wanted me to ask permission). She even wanted me to notify any reblogs to remove! If I did that on Tumblr, it would really slow me down. Lots went on . . too long to explain . . but took me a while to "re-cooperate". That's why I put what I did on my main Tumblr "title" page. Guess it takes all kinds. So I kind of step lightly and wonder what others do.
