Chad Wys

"I have chosen to tackle the restrained, but incredibly free-flowing, elegance of nature. With an experimental color palette and liberal use of the brush, I aim to portray the variance of light and shadow on the purity of objects. Through the extreme simplification of shapes and the virtual absence of any intrinsic textures, I hope to convey base qualities of our natural surroundings; the way our mind initially interprets objects not by their complexities but by their very basic conceptual and visual constructs. I suggest that beauty is not only contained within the very essence of everything natural, but also within the eye, interpretations, and experiences that the beholder bestows to the composition.
